The Dolce

The adventure of the last family of magicians in

the world.

New York, 2011.

A group of wizards, at the head of a real estate and financial trust company, aspires to conquer the underground world. They develop the idea of a soon-coming golden age which would be exlusively reserved to an elite. This merciless project supposes that the ordinary human beings would become an outcast.

And this humanity, over-developped in technology and over consuming, is far from apprehending this threat which watches over her… And what weapons could she use to resist, anyway ?

Only a very few specific beings, whose life started centuries ago, would be able to oppose themselves to the shadowed fate of the Foundation 18 : the Magicians.

Persecuted by wizards for centuries, their powers are useless when they cannot combine it all together. The Magicians just account for a minority. They are five, to be more precise. And the’yre called the Dolce family. This generation, who has been haunted continuously, has tried for years to melt in the background. The family now lives in a left-away shack in Brooklyn. The grandfather is retired, father and mother have casual jobs and the teenagers go to school.

Thus, the Dolce would still be living a quiet and peaceful life, unaware of the relation between the world and their supernaturel powers’ influence … IF their youngest, Léamédia, hadn ‘t  thrown a tantrum on her 11th birthday. When she used her powers in a bad intention. After an initiation ritual accomplished by her grandfather, she became able to summon the magical flux of her family, performing distance magical tricks on materials items.

Unfortunately, her first magic trick has terrible recuperssions in NY, and this will be immediately commented by the medias and the social networks. The family, then spotted by its ennemies, has to move right away, hit the road, roaming, without any goal but the one of being forgotten and survive, hiding itself in the shade, continuously.
