1984, west of the canadian coasts. Caught by a dreadful storm , the Queen of Alberta is shipwrecked. Among the rare survirors, 7-year-old Michael Petersen, witnessed his parents disappearing in the turmoil.
2011, L.A. Michael, then grown up and father of a son, is scared but he’s yet fascinated by this sea which took a part of his life. As he became a searcher in marin biology, he volunteers for a mission in the Artic ices, in spite of his apprehension and the guilt of leaving his close relatives alones.
However, he’s far from thinking that this excursion worries a mysterious secular organisation, the Comitty, whose members, as time went by, have acquired superpowers..
One of their agents, Masha, is personnally in charge of making sure that a secret mission will be done, task that to her belief the searcher might disrupt.
And the directives of this project are well set : Michael shall not reach Antartic.
However, Masha denies to accomplish blindly her mission : she is well determined to uncover the secret which surrounds Michael. Because this man represents far more than a simple target, for her.
From America to Antarctica, from complots to betrayals, Michael and Masha, allies without knowing it, run the risk of playing against their own team, while exposing themselves to the hatred of their opponents.
Born in 1978, Lionel Davoust embodies well his protagonists : He likes to follow the paths one would declare impracticable. Former engineer in halieutics, switching from editorial to translation jobs, he has dedicated himself to literature for 10 years.
